Gnome 46

Skagway, Alaska has a population of approximately 900 people.  They are known for the White Pass and Yukon Route narrow gauge railroad which is a remnant from the town’s mining past.  These days the town primarily thrives on tourism.

Red gnome road the rails through the gorgeous mountain landscape and can be seen guiding tourists to the many locally run shops in town. Another big thanks to Mary for taking them along on her trip.

Gnome 45
Ketchikan, Alaska is the “Salmon Capital of the World”.  It is also known for having the world’s largest collection of standing totem poles.  This white gnome was welcomed by these larger-than life statues.  HIs small stature works in his best interest, as the “lowest man on the totem pole” is often considered the most important. Thanks Mary for hiding him on your trip!
